Sesame Seeds Supplier — Natural and Hulled Sesame
Sesame is one of the oldest oilseeds and a key ingredient of tahini, halva and bakery products. FUSHKOV GCG supplies natural and hulled sesame seeds to food manufacturers, processors and distributors worldwide on Incoterms 2020 terms.
What sesame seeds are
Sesame (Sesamum indicum) is a tropical oilseed whose small flat seeds contain roughly half their weight in oil, together with protein and natural antioxidants such as sesamin. Seeds are graded by colour, by purity — the share of sesame free of foreign matter — and by processing: natural seeds are cleaned or machine-sorted, hulled seeds have the seed coat removed. Major producing and exporting countries include Sudan, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Tanzania, India, Myanmar, Niger and Burkina Faso.

Main uses and markets
Sesame is used for tahini and halva, as a topping for bread and confectionery, in snacks and in Asian cuisine, and is crushed for sesame oil. Large import markets include China, Japan, South Korea, Turkey, the Middle East and the European Union, each with its own food-safety requirements.
Packaging and logistics
Sesame seeds are usually packed in 25 kg or 50 kg bags or in big bags and shipped in containers by sea or multimodal routes. Ventilated stowage and dry conditions help keep moisture and quality stable in transit.

Frequently asked questions
What does 99/1 mean for sesame?
It means a minimum of 99% sesame seed and a maximum of 1% admixture by weight. Higher purities such as 99.95% are achieved with optical (Sortex) sorting.
What is the difference between natural and hulled sesame?
Natural sesame keeps its seed coat; hulled sesame has it removed, giving a whiter, milder product preferred for tahini and bakery use.
Which HS code applies to sesame seeds?
Sesamum seeds, whether or not broken, are classified under HS 1207 40. The final classification of a lot is confirmed by the customs declarant.
