Urea is the most widely used nitrogen fertiliser in the world and the most concentrated solid source of nitrogen, with 46% N. FUSHKOV GCG supplies granular and prilled urea to agricultural buyers internationally on Incoterms 2020 terms.
Urea, CO(NH2)2, is produced from ammonia and carbon dioxide. With 46% nitrogen it delivers more nutrient per tonne than any other solid nitrogen fertiliser, which keeps freight and handling costs per unit of nitrogen low. In the soil urea is converted into ammonium and then nitrate, the forms taken up by plants.

Urea is applied to cereals, maize, rice, oilseeds and pastures as a basic nitrogen source, and is a raw material for blended and compound fertilisers. To limit ammonia losses it is usually incorporated into the soil or applied before rain or irrigation.
Urea is shipped in bulk, in big bags or in 50 kg bags, by sea, rail or multimodal routes. Granular urea is preferred for bulk sea freight because it is less prone to caking and dust.
Both contain 46% N. Granular urea has larger and harder particles (about 2–4 mm), prilled urea has smaller prills (about 1–2.4 mm). Granular urea handles better in bulk and in blending; the choice depends on the application equipment and the market.
Biuret is a by-product of urea production that can harm sensitive crops at high levels. Fertiliser-grade urea typically has a biuret content of no more than 1.0%; lower levels are specified for foliar application.
Urea, whether or not in aqueous solution, is classified under HS 3102 10. The final classification of a lot is confirmed by the customs declarant.
