Peanut Supplier — Wholesale Groundnut Kernels and In-Shell Peanuts
Peanuts, also called groundnuts, are both a food nut and a major oilseed. FUSHKOV GCG supplies peanut kernels and in-shell peanuts to food manufacturers, roasters, crushers and distributors worldwide on Incoterms 2020 terms.
What peanuts are
The peanut (Arachis hypogaea) is a legume whose pods develop underground. The kernels contain roughly 45–50% oil and about a quarter protein, so they are traded both for direct food use and for crushing into peanut oil and peanut meal. Major producing and exporting countries include China, India, Argentina, the United States, Brazil, Senegal, Sudan and Nigeria.

Main uses and markets
Peanut kernels are used for peanut butter, roasted and salted nuts, confectionery and bakery products; lower grades are crushed for peanut oil, with peanut meal as a feed by-product. Food-grade lots must meet the aflatoxin limits of the destination, which are particularly strict in the European Union.
Packaging and logistics
Peanuts are packed in 25 kg or 50 kg bags or in big bags and shipped mainly in containers by sea or multimodal routes. Ventilation and moisture control during transit limit the risk of mould and aflatoxin development.

Frequently asked questions
What does a count such as 40/50 mean?
It is the number of kernels per ounce (about 28.35 g). A lower count means larger kernels; 40/50 means 40 to 50 kernels per ounce.
Why is aflatoxin testing important?
Aflatoxins are toxins produced by moulds that can develop on peanuts in warm, humid conditions. Importing countries set maximum limits, so lots are tested before shipment.
Which HS code applies to peanuts?
Raw groundnuts fall under HS 1202 41 (in shell) and 1202 42 (shelled); roasted peanuts are classified in heading 2008. The final classification of a lot is confirmed by the customs declarant.
