Fraud Warning — Fake Offers and Impersonation
Fraudsters sometimes use the names of established trading companies to make fake offers, request payments or collect personal data. This page explains the schemes we are aware of and how to check whether a message really comes from FUSHKOV Global Commodity Group.
Common schemes
- Fake commodity offers. Offers of sugar or fertilisers on unusually attractive terms, often quoting “ICUMSA 45”, “SBLC”, “MT760” or “proof of product”, followed by requests for fees or bank instruments before any contract.
- Fake bank-detail changes. Messages claiming that our bank account has changed and asking you to pay an invoice to new details.
- Impersonation. E-mails from look-alike domains, free e-mail services or messenger accounts using our name, logo or the names of our staff.
- Fake recruitment. Job offers that require a payment for visas, training or equipment, or ask for passport and bank data early in the process.
What we always do
How to verify a message
Check the sender’s full address, not only the display name. Be cautious of urgency, unusual prices or payment requests to personal or third-country accounts. If in doubt, forward the message to info@fushkov.com or use the contacts on our Contact us page — do not use phone numbers or links from the suspicious message itself.
If you received a suspicious offer
- Do not make any payment and do not send documents or personal data.
- Keep the original messages, including headers and attachments.
- Report the message to us at info@fushkov.com.
- If you have already paid, contact your bank immediately and report the case to the police.
Frequently asked questions
I was offered ICUMSA 45 sugar with an SBLC in your name. Is it real?
Offers that require bank instruments or fees before a contract is agreed are a typical sign of fraud. Verify any offer by writing to info@fushkov.com before taking any action.
A supplier says your bank details have changed. What should I do?
Do not pay. Confirm the change by phone or e-mail with your known FUSHKOV contact, using contact details you already have, not those in the message.
Do you recruit through messengers?
Our job openings are published on our careers page, and we do not charge candidates any fees.
FUSHKOV GCG is not responsible for offers, documents or payment requests that do not come from @fushkov.com addresses or are not confirmed by a signed contract. If you have any doubt about a message using our name, write to info@fushkov.com — we will confirm whether it is genuine.
